The new Pfizer boasts the industry's largest pharmaceutical research and development organization: Pfizer Global Research and Development (PGRD). From its world headquarters in New London, Connecticut, to major research campuses and numerous satellite research centers around the world, PGRD combines the efforts of 12,000 highly skilled people working on more than 150 product development programs in 19 research areas, including cancer, osteoporosis and diabetes. Our staff members employ state-of-the-art tools--ranging from robotic high throughput screening (a method we pioneered) to sophisticated genomic studies--to deliver a steady stream of innovative new products that enhance human and animal health.
